Numerical Analysis and Model Test Verification of Energy and Cavitation Characteristics of Axial Flow Pumps

In order to study the energy and cavitation performance of a high-ratio axial flow pump, SST k-? turbulence model ZGB were used numerically calculate test analysis was carried out. The concluded that errors in numerical calculation head, efficiency, critical margin are within 0.2 m, about 3% 5%, respectively, results reliable. For conditions Q = 411 L/s, 380 348 234 calculated margins 7.1 5.7 4.6 9.5 experimental 7.5 4.9 with ?0.4 0.8 0.0 order; calculations trend same, small errors. Under same inlet pressure, as rate decreases, vacuole first appears at head blade pressure surface under large condition (Q L/s), suction L/s). As decreases (pin 11 × 104–4 104 Pa), gradually increases degree increases. research this paper can provide reference for mechanism type pump.
